flying_tiger
People talk about the distortion level of each of the Carl Zeiss lens for Hasselblad. For example, 100/3.5 has virtually zero distortion while 400/4 CFE FLE has almost 3% of distortion. Where can I find these technical information? How is the distortion defined for each lens? Is there a huge difference between 0.88% and 1.80%? Thanks. Richard

werner boeckelen
Even if these infos are for the Rollei, the lenses are the same: http://www.sl66.com/slx/MTF.htm Werner
q.g._de_bakker
Richard,<br><br>Distortion is defined as displacement of the image, and given in percentage of the distance from the image center.<br>The same percentage 'further out' means more displacement, and vice versa.<br>"Displacement" compared to where a particular bit of an image would be in an undistorted image.
