phredy Posted January 29, 2005 Share Posted January 29, 2005 Folks, would like to thank you for all the info I gleaned off thisdiscussion group over the past 2 months.Have sold my Sony 828 and bought a 20D with the 50mm 1.8 and the28-135mm IS USM lens.Will miss a few things about the Sony, like the movie mode and andbeing able to "bend the body" but the quality of the pictures with nomore "purple fringing" and no more grain...wow! I already had the 50mm 1.8 which I bought with the Rebel Ti a year ago. I took a photo of a friend's daughter and she posted the picture on the Net. I visited her site recently and someone commented on the photo (I'm translating), "This picture doesn't look like it was taken with a digital camera." The earliest such thing that I remember was 'London to Brighton in Four Minutes', a black-and-white film shot from a camera mounted on the front of a steam locomotive.
