gnnyman
I would like to make known that in case you have thought about Lotus View Cameras as an attractive alternative to the well known Wisner etc. view cameras - yes, I got a demo model (5x7) in Colorado ....and I am planning to present it and a review about it on my website in the near future. Has anyone of you experience with Lotus View cameras? I would be very interested to hear from you - all feedbacks are welcome, not only the praises! Thanks and regards George Nyman (http://www.gnyman.com)
stevewillard
They made some 4x10 film holders for my Wisner camera two years ago. If their cameras are built like their film holders then its a class act. The Lotus people were also very nice to work wth. Good luck.
ronald_moravec1
I considered buying one several years ago, but then they stopped importing to the U.S. It was a fine camera. I ended up with a Zone 6, not the ultra light. I think it is still made in Austria and available in europe.
brian_ellis16
Since you haven't gotten many responses I'll add a relatively insignificant one. A friend has a Lotus, one of the odd sizes, maybe 6x12 or something like that. I've seen it and played around with it a little. It's a beatiful camera and seems to be very well made. I know he was happy with it - in fact he had two, one of which he kept in the U.S. and the other in Europe - before he switched to digital (????). david_flockhart1
They made 6) 8x20 holders for me as well as a 12x20 contact printing frame. They are all works of art. The printing frame came to some grief but they were very willing to deal with making it right. They are good people who make good things and things good when necessary. gnnyman
To all who have replied - I will have one 5x7 Lotus View camera as demo camera at my location in Colorado (South Denver area). If you are planning to visit the Imaging USA 2005 exhibition, you can see it there as well - I have started to act for Lotus View as a consultant with my primary residence in CO.
