Former P.N Member
I can't speak to that specific combination but will pass on my experience the the EOS3 that I just got a couple days ago.
My longest lens is a Sigma 170-500 that is f6.3 at the long end. One of my concerns when buying the '3' was compatibility with 3rd party lenses and so far the Sigma works just fine (all my other lenses are Canon). No problems at all.
When testing the various lenses I have with the '3' I also tested with both 1.4 and 2x TC's to see if autofocus would work up to f8. It does! The TC's I was using are both Tamron, MC4 1.4 and MC7 2x.
The Tamron TC's have no electronics in them so the camera doesn't know they are there so it thinks the max aperature is 5.6 even with the 2x attached. Auto focus worked all the way up to 500mm with the 2x. It worked better with distant subjects than with those closer in, but it did work.
Given my experience my guess would be if the Kenko physically fits the lens the EOS3 should pose no problems.
Dick
