Portrait Magazine

While in a bookstore I found a magazine coming from the UK called "Portraits". I

didn't buy it because it was bound in plastic and I didn't know what I would

think about the $15.00 magazine. I figured I would go online and check it out

and see if I couldn't get an older copy of it somewhere.

 

As it turns out, the magazine doesn't even look like it exists. I cannot find

anything online and I'm still curious to know what the magazine is like. I hoped

to find someone here that may know or may say it is worth the $15.

Go to Google's UK site (Google.co.uk) and key in Portraits Magazine. There are several sites there concerning that publication.

I found it this weekend and bought it. It's published by the British publishers of the Digital Camera magazine.

 

I suppose an advanced amatuer or pro may get something out of it, but this edition seems geared more toward amatuers in general. They throw in a free CD with FlipAlbum Suite 5.5 and a few filters and tutorials. I'd say that someone who hasn't shot portraits at all or who is new to photography can benefit from this magazine. For the rest, maybe good only if you want something to read and you've already bought all of the photo periodicals for the month.
