andrew_lee2
Forget about the photography "ban," stop the forthcoming fare hike-yet again. Grumble grumble.
roger krueger
Why would a terrorist need photographs anyway? Once a suicidal $%&hole is in the country, and has explosives, there is an overwhelming abundance of things to blow up easily with zero scouting. Banning backpacks, briefcases and any other large parcels would do immensely more for security, but they know they'd anger too many people to get away with it. Israel has the best-trained, least rights-respecting security force around, and they still have busses blown up on a regular basis. If the terrorists want to blow up public transit they will. Our only hope is that what happened to Afghanistan will make them not want to. I think even the Jihad recognizes that the 9-11 attack backfired against them worse than any attack in history, save maybe the Reichstag fire. paul_taylor2
From "Animal House", this quote seems appropriate: Eric "Otter" Stratton: Dead. Bluto's right, psychotic, but absolutely right. We gotta take these bastards. Now, we could fight 'em with conventional weapons, that could take years, and cost millions of lives. No, in this case, I think we have to go all out. I think that this situation absolutely requires a really futile and stupid gesture, be done on somebody's part.
