If using Vuescan and settings are RGB color film, Vuescan will apply ajustements to get rid of the orange mask present in color film but absent in chromogenic films like the above. erudolph Posted December 2, 2004 Share Posted December 2, 2004 don, using nikonscan software, you can scan as color negative, grayscale file. this discards the color information. many folks do not like this method, preferring to using a more complicated workflow to arrive at a grayscale image, but i have found it to be generally satisfactory.
