Super Angulon PC R -- interchangeable mount?

Does anyone know whether or not the Leica version of the Schneider

28mm Super Angulon shift lens is the same as the version which takes

interchangeable mounts for Nikon, Canon, etc.? In other words, can

the mount be changed on the Leica version?

Yes, it is the same overall lens. No, the mount on the Leica-branded version cannot be changed. And, there is no Leica R mount for the Schneider-branded version.

You can use the 28mm Schneider with Leica mount on a Canon

EOS using the Novoflex (www.novoflex.de) or Zoerk

(www.zoerk.com) adaptor. Also, look here: http://

The thing is that if I owned Leica R, I'd buy the Leica-branded lens. By the time you buy the Schneider lens, a lens mount and the very, very expensive lens hood that only Leica sells and that comes with the Leica lens, you are rather close to the price of the Leica lens. Add a 3-year Passport Warranty to the Leica lens and there isn't much reason for a Leica R owner to buy the Schneider.

I have the same lens, I also have the canon EOS mount coming from B & H. Once it gets here, I will attempt the conversion. I have it from a reputable source that the Canon adapter will swap with the Leica one.
