elaine marie
I do my own printing of my proofs and I am trying to figure out if it is cost effective. About what is your cost on say 300 printed proofs from your lab?Pleas include shipping, tax and any other charges.<P> Thank you <P>Elaine Marie
roxyandkaidotcom
whcc.com charges 24? for a 4x6 proof. Multiply that by 300 and it would cost you $72. They don't charge extra for shipping. How much does it cost you to print your own proofs?
michelle a.
Yes that is whom I use as well. Well worth the money. I could not imagine trying to print out 300+ prints on an inkjet.... lots of ink and paper!
annealmasy
WHCC rocks! I used to use DigiLabs, which was about the same price if I'm remembering correctly. The only place cheaper is WalMart at 19 cents per print ;) Haha.

mreul
oh and sarah....how come you use whcc.com? i ask cause i also know you use smug mug....do you use both of them for different things?
roxyandkaidotcom
I use whcc whenever I want prints for myself because they're GREAT quality, they don't charge for shipping (no matter how many you get or how big they are) and they're really really fast. I use smugmug for customers to buy their own prints - so I don't have to deal with orders and shipping, etc. So what the heck is up with your email and mine Meg?? They don't like each other at all! I opened an online store and a yahoo email address to go with it (for something non- photography related). Try that address ... rollergirlshop@yahoo.com
wedding-photography-denver
The cheapies are Fotki.com, Snapfish.com and the like. I have smugmug.com do mine most of the time at .19c per. Thier shipping stinks though. about $20 for 300 proofs.

karl_borowski
Doing my own RA-4, I can, with ebay auction won paper (fresh, new, Portra or Fuji P III) get 4x5 proofs from *4 cents* including the price of chemicals. Wasn't digital supposed to make everything cheaper ;-) ? I'd say it's up around 10c were I to buy paper from a place like B&H
