clack
Hello, a friend of mine is looking for a repair/service manual or a connection diagram of the Canon winder A2. It seems as if the motor starts rotating as soon as the batteries are inserted. In the net, we couldn't find any free sources, only manuals for sale. Does anybody know a link anyway...? Thanks in advance, Thom@s
25asa
It may be cheaper to replace the winder then to repair it. Many go on the auction sites for cheap. If you plan on repairing the old one yourself, it may be difficult to find a manual since these things are from the 70s and early 80s.
peter_kim2
Does it rotate only when the batteries are put in or only when you mount it to the camera? If it does it when you mount it, the winder is reading that the camera needs to be advanced.
clack
Peter, my friend says that the e-mot just moves when the winder is opened, the batteries are inside the winder and when he shorts the PCB and then of course it is not connected to the camera... peter_kim2
Thomas, in that case I have no idea. Proably something screwy with the electronics. As Scott suggested its probably cheaper to buy another used one then go through the hassle and cost of finding someone to repair it.
