jorn ake
If you make the images 511 on the longest side, keep them smaller than 100k and add a caption when you post, the images will show up in the thread.
How to do the image thing on Photo.net
cameron_sawyer
Thanks Jorn -- but these images look crappy, for some reason, at that size, at least on my monitor.
seb v.
Shame about the dull light. Makes the subjects really gloomy. Seb
cameron_sawyer
Yes, the light is very soft and diffused through the clouds and heavy humidity. I rather liked it, actually, although the effect is, indeed, gloomy. The only strong color is the striking green of the vegetation -- the Emerald Isle indeed. Robert_Lai
I spent a week there, so I had a bit more time. It rained every single day. The trick is to wait until the sun peeps out between the clouds. I also used Kodak UC400, and Agfa Ultra 100 to punch up the colours. Here are a couple of shots from the Western side of the island - Dublin.

Robert_Lai
Not Leica shots, unfortunately (made using N). But, I'm very fond of Ireland after my trip, so I'll respond to any forum.

Robert_Lai
Sorry, I meant to say Eastern side of the Island. The west is where you were.
tim_foster3
... that'd be "O'Connell" bridge I think :-)
Robert_Lai
You're right Tim. Serves me right for trying to sneak around on photo.net while I'm at work.
