emr
I have a photo that I played with briefly in PS. It looks great in PS,but when I open it with other imaging software, like Microsoft Paint,or some other imaging software, it looks way too dark. It's not myimagination, I've compared the picture opened side-by-side. I can'tfigure out what is going on. Any ideas?
marshall
Do a search on color profiles, and learn a little about profile-aware applications. The odds are simply that Photoshop is using a certain color profile for the document (e.g., AdobeRGB or sRGB), while some other applications are ignoring the profile and just sending the raw data to the display, which in turn may not be well set-up. Good luck.
emr
I believe you are absolutely correct. I set up a profile for prints from digital, not for web publishing which is what I assume the other image applications are set up for. Where's my brain? marshall
It's under the couch cushions with your keys and the tv remote. Good luck.
