steve_myaskovsky
When you shoot outdoors in the late evening what do you set your WB to? I personally have D70. Thanks.
rajesh_krishnamohan
White balancing in this case may not do a lot of magic if most of the subject is dark or you are shooting sunset etc. However, if you are shooting with your flash light set WB to "Flash". If you have object illuminated by yellow light/Sodium vapour lamp set it appropriately. If you are doubtful, set it to Auto. Also if you are doubtful, take the picture in RAW format and you will be able to change the "White Balancing" mode when you open the picture in Adobe Acrobat or Nikon Picture Project
rajesh_krishnamohan
Sorry about the typo, it should have been "Adobe Photoshop", time to wake up I guess :-)
goemon
I usually leave mine set to daylight, but that's because I'm trying for the warm hues.
beno_t_marchal
Unless I'm using flash, I usually set it to Tungsten. More importantly, I set the quality to RAW and I tweak the white balance with Photoshop RAW plugin.
--ben
marchal.com
