Sometimes my AF assist light stopworking.
I mean, even if it's realy dark and the light is also not over heating!
The only way I found to bring it back is to perform a reset of camera.Right after in the same condition it work again perfectly.
Turning off and on dosen't help.

Has any body an idea what it can come from ?

Kind regards,
Marc
bob_lee2
From the manual: To use the AF assist illuminator, the camera must be in single-servo AF with an AF-Nikkor lens attached, and the center focus area must be selected or closest subject priority in effect. If these conditions are met and the subject is poorly lit, the illuminator will light automatically to assist the autofocus operation when the shutter-release button is pressed halfway. For the AF-assist illuminator to function correctly, the lens must have a focal length of 24?200 mm and the subject must be in range of the illuminator. If you are sure all these parameters are satisfied, then there might be something wrong with the camera. Remember: use single-servo AF and the center focus area selector.
