doug_foster
Several years ago, I bought a Hoya step down ring (60Bay - 67) to fit on my Hass. 501CM 80 mm lens. This is a "bayonet" type fit. The step down ring is for accepting close-up lenses as most probably know. Recently, the ring has fitted quite loosely in the camera lens - even to the point of falling out when the camera is moved about. I tried to manipulate the little "prongs" or "fingers" one the ring. This caused a tighter fit - but then I couldn't get the ring off the lens at first. After a lot of work it finally disengaged. Is there a solution to this problem or is it time to just buy a new ring? Any suggestions appreciated.
larry_benjamin
Hi, I have found that sometimes aftermarket lens threads/bayonets are not perfectly compatible, even though it says on the box. Best to stick with manufacturers attachments to prevent the same occuring........ if possible ? Cheers, Larry
