marc_lieberman1
Horrific mixed lighting in a poorly-lit gym. Pushed Ilford HP5 to 1600 so I could shoot at 1/125 at f1.4-2.0 on 75mm Summilux. For those with a preference, what is your favorite film to shoot at 1600.<div></div>

marc_lieberman1
1/125 is my favorite speed to shoot people in motion. It usually freezes their facial expressions and torso, but allows for just the right amount of motion blur.<div></div>

WM
Wow ! Tri-X can really be pushed 2 stops and it still looks good huh ? Gotta try it some time. I like using Neopan1600, it kicks butt !
andreatau
I can tell you that, to me, it looks much better than TMax 3200 (saying this cause before that assignment I had asked for tips on which film to use, and these two were finally chosen)

xavier_dalfort
Not bad at all. In my own experience, the Tmax3200 exposed at 1600 and developped accordingly is all right. However a bit soft may be. Cheers.

henricus
Another vote for Tri-x pushed to 1600 or 3200. IIRC this one was shot at 1600 and souped with HC110/1+100 for 20min.<div></div>

mattalofs
Tri X @ 1600 in diafine is pretty much my standard film to the extent that I keep an nd filter on my hexar when light calls for something slower. It's easy, consistent, cheap and the speeed is there when I need it, which is most of the time. Neopan 1600 is beautiful in diafine, but it's about twice as expensive to shoot so I save it for when I know that lowlight is all I'll be shooting. I'm playing around with pushing Neopan to 3200 in diferent developers.

mattalofs
Mike, what do you process Delta 3200 in? I've never been overwhelmed by it, but those shots look real smooth.
