wedding-photography-denver
From a thought that I had in responding to another thread, is anyone here booking weddings in foreign locations? I am married and have young kids, so its not for me. Any one else doing that, or are you willing if asked?

rich_dutchman1
About 30% of my weddings are "destination weddings," although in my case they're not always glamorous resort or foreign locales. Most of the young people in my area are from somewhere else, and for some reason, they like to transport me to their hometown wedding. Nevertheless, I get a few enjoyable trips out of it every year - except the time I shot three weddings, in three time zones, in three days. jon jacobson
I'm shooting a reception in two weeks near Detroit, couple got married last week in Virgin Islands. I guess I could have done a better sales job on that one! Got one booked in September on Mackinac Island. REALLY looking forward to that one. Not exactly out of the country, but it is quite a trek from Grand Rapids MI.

jon jacobson
Not often enough..., that's why I'm geeked about this one. I'm too new to the wedding biz.
wendyholden
I am married with young kids (6 to be exact) and for some reason destination wedings are especially appealing to me. Heck, for bus fare and a few minutes of quiet I would go just about anywhere!

derek_c.
I have a pending Mexico wedding.
I guess I'll do it if it comes in.
But, honestly, I hope somebody else would put a deposit for that day, so I would not travel.
Yes, if I was younger, I would have LOVED to travel for free.
Excitement, danger, meeting people... cough, cough~!
