Destination wedding bookings. For you?

Recommended Posts

About 30% of my weddings are "destination weddings," although in my case they're not always glamorous resort or foreign locales. Most of the young people in my area are from somewhere else, and for some reason, they like to transport me to their hometown wedding. Nevertheless, I get a few enjoyable trips out of it every year - except the time I shot three weddings, in three time zones, in three days.

I'm shooting a reception in two weeks near Detroit, couple got married last week in Virgin Islands. I guess I could have done a better sales job on that one!

Got one booked in September on Mackinac Island. REALLY looking forward to that one. Not exactly out of the country, but it is quite a trek from Grand Rapids MI.
00B04L-21685884.jpg.34da0c28e0469b769800ea936233096c.jpg

I have a pending Mexico wedding.
I guess I'll do it if it comes in.
But, honestly, I hope somebody else would put a deposit for that day, so I would not travel.
Yes, if I was younger, I would have LOVED to travel for free.
Excitement, danger, meeting people... cough, cough~!
