do Compur electronic shutters eat batteries?

Does anyone still use a Compur electronic shutter? I have one on a Schneider Symmar S

150/5.6 which I use on a Kardan Master L 5x4. I have a source for replacing the batteries,

but I find if I leave the battery pack connected whilst not in use, the batteries discharge

within days. Is this usual, or do I have rubbish batteries or a faulty shutter? Everything

seems to work OK - although the Compur electronic has no B setting. Strange? Guess one

uses T for extended exposures??

Greetings,

I think you have a faulty shutter. I have a 360 S in a compur 3 electronic shutter. I bought it used and the guy I got if from told me he hadn't used it in a couple of years, but the battery was still in it and it still worked. I've been using it for the past few months, with the same battery and it still works fine.

I'd appreciate knowing your source for the batteries; feel free to contact me directly.

Regards, Pete
