gmc
I have a 120 film back for a Bronica SQ-Ai that rolls to the end of a brand new roll of film without stopping for the first exposure. I am new to Bronica so I don't know hardly how to explain this. I have other film backs that stop at the first exposure, #1 indexes into the window and the crank stops. This back will completely roll up a fresh roll to the end. Is this issue simple to resolve or does it need tech. help. Doesn't appear to have much use....Hope I've explained this clear enough for some direction here... TIAGreg
johannes_geenen
The failure can have several reasons.

The roll on the top side of the film holder records the film movement and is connected to the exposure counter. If the roll does not advance or the connection to the film counter is broken, the film advance will not stop.
The film counter has notches (one for each exposure), a lever within the film holder catches these notches. If the lever stucks or the spring attached to that lever is broken, the film won't stop.
You have to open the film holder's right side (it's easy - remove the manual advance crank, lift the adhesive leatherette and remove the cover - four screws).
I had a somewhat similar problem - the film wind stopped only at the first exposure but not at the following one - caused by the stucking lever.
Good luck, Johannes
gmc
Thanks Johannes. I will attempt to dig a little deeper and hopefully its something I can easily fix. I appreciate our response and I will report back with my findings. The back shows almost no signs of use.
