jason
I have been using a CanonAE-1Programm for about 6 months. It was a gift with lenses and flash plus bag! This is my 2nd Canon gift! The first a AE-1, I did not enjoy! The ISO setting a cause of problems! The Programm is really nice. Its fast and responsive. It is first SLR that I can carry with my Leica-M! Everything in familiar places or same movement of direction on lenses, focus, whatever. The 50mm lens s good.I added a Quantray(Ritz) 28mmf2.8, new in box for Canadian $10.ooI have had a print done recently from 800 Fuji film in available lightprinted "8x12".The lens and the speed of camera really helped produce a fine envoirmental photo.Sorry, can't scan.Soon! The 35~105m zoom is a tradgedy.A so called pro lens! The horizons of Lake Ontario are 'Concave".I regard all zooms as toys but use their effects when reqd.I hated my EOS system.I gave it to my daughter. It's not much loved there either.I shall probably add another body and a lens for portraits unless I find a Pentax to FD/FL mount adapter,so that I could use my Super-Takumar 85mm.I find its my camera of choice in poor weather or for really fun assignments.I think Canon lost something fine when they went EOS.I used the A-1 a long time ago and it too is a great camera.Yes! The shutter "kills" a mouse every now and then.I shall oil relevant parts soon.

lance_dennis
Jason I loe my Tak 85 also! You can easily find an adapter for FD/FL to M42. They are availible new at camera stores for about $20 USD, or on Ebay. Canon made a "mount conveter P" that can also be found on Ebay for $30 or less. They both wok. -Lance
