lbi115l
I was recently removing my cable release from my ETRS when I noticedthat it seemed to be turning too loosely. Well, it turns out that thesmall metal bushing in the camera which the release threads into seemsto have become loosened. I tried to screw it back in a bit, but itdidn't work too well. It is held in place now, but moves too freely tointroduce a cable release (or, more specifically, to remove it later). Does anyone have any idea of how to fix this? Or of the internalstructure of this area? The body cost as much as a repair, so I'm pretty willing to playaround with it.
attila_thehun
Why not try a dab of a cyanoacetate adhesive to hold the bush in place and to ensure that gluing will not impede operation. Then you can decide on a more permanent repair. The adhesive can be removed with one of the special solvents if necessary- AtH
