PhotoShop Elements 2-Adding a second photo

Recommended Posts

There are several ways to combine images in Photoshop. The simplest is to just drag the image from one window into another, where it will form new layer on top of the existing image. If you hold down shift when dragging, the two images will be aligned (assuming they are the same size). Alternatively, you can select the whole of an image (ctrl/A) or a part of and image and use cut/paste to transfer the image. This will again form a new layer. You might need to increase the image area to accommodate the new image, in which case use Image->Resize->Canvas Size. You can move the top layer around with the move tool and erase portions if you wish. Use the Layers palette to select which layer you are editing by clicking on the appropriate layer. To merge the layers into one, use Layer->Flatten Image.
