odille_esmonde_morgan
Can anyone out there tell me if a case (leather) designed for a Rollieflex Automat (info from seller) will fit my old Seagull TLR (bought cheaply but great lens and takes good photos). The holes for focussing etc appear to be in the right spots. Any advice appreciated.
streetlevel
Hard to say for sure... the outside dimensions will be about right, but it really depends on the specific case, and which specific seagull you have (for instance, Seagull currently makes at least 3 seperate cases with different configurations.) My guess is that it won't - but it you never know until you try.
paul_sorensen
Strikes me that a Rollei case might have a higher monetary value than a Seagull camera.
siu_fai_au1
The original Automat is smaller then the Seagull. So I do not think that the Seagull will physically fit inside the Automat case. The later E and F are about the same size as the Seagull. I do have the F-case but my Seagull is the simpler knob wind model, so I can't check this for you. Sorry. patric_dahl_n
The focusing knob is larger on the Seagull than on the Rolleiflex Automats, and the Seagull has a flash shoe and the frame counter window in another place. You would have to cut the case a lot for the Seagull to fit, and that would ruin a Rollei case. :-/
patric_dahl_n
BTW, I believe the Seagull case can be bought separatly, if it's for one of the newer models.
