malcolm_broomfield
Hi EveryoneI am new to this list and would like to ask if anyone has any experience of using the CDS meter with an RB67 PRO S.As I get older I seem to have problems working out the adjustments required for polorising and ND filters, I wondered if these meters were good enough for day to day use. Many thanks for your help Malcolm Broomfield
eric friedemann
Malcolm, I had a metered prism finder for my RB some years back and I did not even find it accurate enough for Tri-X. I would suggest a pieces of athletic tape on your filter storage cases with f/stop factors listed for each.
lucas_griego
I use both the AE Finder on the RZ67 ProII and the PD Prism Finder on the RB ProSD. Both metered finders. I find them to be extremely accurate. As well I assist for a guy who uses an RB a lot of the time and we use the PD Prism finder about 50% of the time. We wouldn't do it if there was any chance of screwing up job. We generally are shooting Fuji transparency film. So we have far less margin for error than B/W neg film. If it wasn't accurate I'd have an art director/photographer/client on my ass in a NY second. Your mileage may vary though - as noted in the post above mine. enrico_pocopagni1
Hi Malcom, I am the Lucas side. I find my RZ AEII metered finder very accurate. But you have to consider it's not "Intelligent" like Matrix-like meters. It only can automatically switch between average and spot, depending upon scene contrast. Obviously I have to do some adjustment to meet my needs. Greetings
malcolm_broomfield
Many thanks to those of you who replied, I feel it may be time for the tape round my filters and perhaps an investment in either a better handheld meter or that metering head I keep seeing on E-bay.
