"Waterproofing" the Rue Blind

Hi.

I am looking for a way to "waterproof" the Rue Ultimate photo blind

(see http://www.rue.com/equip.html for a picture).

Really, it doesn't have to be an elegant solution, and I would be

happy to simply drape some kind of large waterproof cloth over the

whole thing, so that I could leave the blind erect for days at a time

without having to worry about the weather forcast.

Can anyone suggest a type of material, and where I could purchase it?

Thanks.

I have found the Rue blind is pretty waterproof w/o adding any cover or chemical. If you are not going to be in it when it is raining, why worry about a special cover for it? Just make sure you tie it doen so it will not blow away in a storm.

If you are looking for other blinds to consider buying, look at the Ameristep Brickhouse portable blind. It is bigger than the Rue blind and is probably more waterproof than the Rue. And it has most features a photographer would want in a protable blind for nature photography. It is much better built than Ameristep's Doghouse blinds. Here it a link to it:

One word of caution. If there are cattle or any other large animals at your shooting location, do not leave the blind out when you are not there. Cattle are curious animals and will trash it and maybe eat it. When I am on property with cattle, I use a homemade blind made out of PVC pipe and camo material.
