s._misra
Hi. I plan to use a polarizer + close-up diopter (Canon 500D) combination for close-up work, and would like to know in what order they should be stacked: (a) Lens + Close-up + Polarizer? or (b) Lens + Polarizer + Close-up? Thanks.
bobatkins
Doesn't really matter much. I'd probably put the diopter on the lens and the polarizer on the diopter.
imaginator
Are you sure you need a polarized filter? I understand that you didn't ask for advice about using one, but if you are interested, could you give us an idea of what you are using it for? steve_simons
Put the Polarizer out the Outside so you can rotate it easily.
gee-bug
I realize this is a dead thread, but for posterity: you need to put the polarizer (or an other filter) on first, i.e., mounted directly on the lens. This is because closeup filters are curved, and generally won't allow flat filters to screw into the front. Also, if you are stacking close-up filters, put the most powerful on the lens first.
