Summer Event Work?

Enough of the wedding stuff already. Anyone doing some summer event work out there?

Concerts, anniversaries, whatever. Post 'em if you got 'em.

I just did a company picnic and pulled in a couple hundred extra $ in prints. Kind of a

saccharine job, but a buck is a buck. Everything was shot available light. I wasn't planning

on shooting my wife's company picnic, but was pressed into this job with only one camera

and 2 lenses I had with me.

However, the real bonus was I got a couple of nice portraits to add to my portfolio... so

you never know what might come your way, even on a cheap job.... see posted portrait.

Here's a link to a PN folder with a few more:

Took this pic this last Saturday after a woman contacted me about shooting her for "online" dating pics. She is looking to go back to dating and wanted some nice shots of her. Quick job, good money, and i really liked how results came out. No extra stuff except for FujiS2 Tamron 24-70mm 2.8

Mainly Group Shots -&- Golfing Foursomes is the biggest "side-jobs" >> i.e. Non Wedding/Portrait work. Have a group shot of 90 tonight --takes nearly 14 minutes * about 5 clicks of the camera and you gross $3-2000 ( shooting fee + 90 8X10's)---->>> Golfing is the most steady- ..but I have only a small piece of that share of commerce from that MoneyMaker. But there is still one photographer here, for 30 years , raking in big bucks. Sit at one hole... takes about 1-2 hours ---process and print 5X7 each --40 golfers~~ pays about $3000. Better than weddings! But the venue is secured--like most of the spots around here--you have to wait until one retires or moves,,<div>008vwS-18882784.jpg.8070a27c1c2e71d5e2049f18f4a15394.jpg</div>

"GET THOSE KIDS AND ADULTS TO WEAR HARD HATS WHEN

THEY RIDE!!!!

MOST INJURIES FROM HORSE BACK RIDING FALLS ARE

HEAD INJURIES."

One of my favorite childhood memories is riding with my brother

and sister in the back of my dad's Chevy convertible, top down,

free to crawl all around the seat and watch the world go by while

mom smoked a cigarette and dad drank a beer in the front.

None of us wearing seat belts, of course. That was some fun.
