thomas tukker
This might be a silly question but is it possible to use my Nikon SB-28 with my 503 CW? I am looking into buying another dedicated flash, like the D40 or a Metz but I have this SB28 laying around for now...Any adapters available? Cords? Where? I would also appreciate any info on what flash system is preferable and why. Thanks, Thomas
lloyd_rabanus
Very possible, but not in TTL mode. You must use auto mode. It will do a fine job. I used My SB26/27 with My 501CM and My RZ67. Also works fine with the P6x7. Must any auto flash will work with most any MF camera system. But for TTL, use the D40. lloyd_rabanus
I have a L grip with a flash shoe. I then have a generic shoe to PC cord. If I need to extend the cord when using a flip flash mount I have a spiral cord the goes from 12" to three feet. Just plug into the lens. Works fine. Make sure the ground (outside) of the cord make good contact with the PC connection on the lens. The newer Hassy lens' have a good lock for PC cords.
