Canon off camera cord 2

Recommended Posts

I recall reading in an instruction book that it does not. The logical reason being that the beam bould not be aligned to the lens. For that reason, the best off camera flash set up is with the STE (?)transimitter mounted on the camera - assists AF and triggers the flash unit off camera.

I use an Off Camera Shoe Cord 2 (OCSC2) with a stroboframe bracket between my ElanIIe and 420ex flash. Never had any problems using autofocus with this. Granted, I use fast lenses (f/1.8, f2.8) which is supposed to make autofocus easier/faster.
