F100 film advance problem

When reviewing some negs from my F100, I noticed that the spacing

between the negs was uneven.

 

Is this normal or does it indicate a defect with the camera?

Unless the unevenes is really radical or nearly overlapping frames it is likely not to be due camera failure. I've noticed that shaking when driving around with a car or a bike looking for new targets may cause slight increase of spacing between frames. Whereas if one shoots full roll at one spot the framespaces are likely to be very even.

 

Uneven framespaces can cause more work at scanning but otherwise they are mostly harmless?

For whatever it's worth, I noticed the same problem (or idiosyncrasy, anyway) after buying my F100 a year ago. Still does the same thing with some rolls, and the problem hasn't gotten any worse after 6,000 plus frames.
