eleanor_lippman
Can you suggest places to photograph fall foliage in the Catskills?--Eleanor Lippman
david_allen1
There are many options. In Green County, North Lake near Haines Falls is very accessible with many waterfall spots as you ascend Palenville Mountain. I think the trails in this area are great too. In particular, I would do some day hikes around Devils Kitchen or Platte Cove Mountain. Other great spots near Tannersville and Hunter can be found along Rte 23, which runs along the Schoharie Creek. If you want to drive a ways, there should be good shooting along the Delaware, but I have heard rumor that they have extra security around NYC drinking supply, so be prepared. Also watch out for deer hunters, as the season opens a bit earlier in this part of the state.
les maynard photography
I just returned from the Catskill's. The folige is almost at peak. I found the area from Roscoe to Walton to be very good and not to busy. Hope this helps.<div></div>
