m_.
>>Usually i not have a problem about my digital camera, now my digital camera cannot record the digital image on Assuming that you know how to work with this camera, then I will say the CCD is dead. If I were you, I would send it back before the warranty runs out.
hyunyu
Have you checked the memory card to make sure that it's not full? Do you have another memory card you can try in the S50?
johnny_tergo
Make sure you backup anything that you need on your compact flash card, and then formatt the card. Sometimes this will do the trick.
mark_thomas3
Sorry to suggest the obvious, but are you actually TAKING the picture..? I've seen one person get very frustrated with a P&S, simply because they didn't hold the shutter button down for long enough for it to actually fire - it was just autofocussing! Are you saying that there ARE images, but they are all black, or that there are no images at all? Go back and read your manual very thoroughly before returning it.. Marvin
I think that the first and easiest thing to try is to re-format the card.

krisheylen
Yes, there might be a problem with the card ! It is very important to format a CF-card in the camera you use it in, because Canon uses a 32-bit formatting system, and Fuji uses a 16-bit system (FAT). I cannot use the same card in my Canon A20 and Fuji S7000 without formatting. That's also why the Fuji's can never take a CF-card with more than 2 GB.
Hope it's just this.
Kris. peter_hillis
Jamal, Did you ever find out from Canon what the problem with your camera was? I also have an S50 which appears to have the same problem (though mine is just out of warranty). The display shows no image and if I take a photo the result stored is just a blank black file.
