william_kornrich
Which are your favorite zooms/telephoto lenses for a Hasselblad 500C?I'm interested in shooting sunsets, sailboats...
q.g._de_bakker
William,

My favourite telephoto lens is the 250 mm. Not too long, not too short. I do not really like anything longer.
But that's me. You may feel different.
And if you do, know that the choice is limited: a 350 mm and a 500 mm. Both rather heavy.

Though there are two, best forget about zomm lenses. The Schneider Variogon 140-280 mm is a decent lens, but big ans heavy, and not as good as the fixed focal length lenses it replaces.
The later Hasselblad 60-120 mm zoom is not for use on a 500-series camera (it has no shutter), is not a telephoto, is also heavy, and very expensive. russ_britt3
150 is my favorite....also have a 120 I guess I like wider....that why I love my superwide. I don`t worry about the olds wifes tail, that you can tell the size of the photographers #$^@ by the size of his lens.
don dudenbostel
The 250 may be a little short for what you want to do. See if you can borrow or rent one to test. I like mine but it's really not a long lens (3x)in MF terms. In 35mm terms it's about like a 150mm. I don't currently have a 500 but don't find it difficult to use on a tripod. Never used the 350 but think it would be a nice lens.
