Zoom Monocular Calibrated with 35mm Full Frame Focal Lengths

I am searching for a zoomable monocular with equivalent of 24mm to 200mm full frame focal length equivalent. I would use this for previewing potential photographic subjects before selecting a lens from my back pack. Alternatively the zoom positions could be read out in angle of view I could prepare a calibration relating this to the full frame focal length equivalent. A wider focal length range would be acceptable. Ideally if such a monocular exists it would be light weight and suitable for a pocket or hanging around my neck.

Movie directors used them in old Hollywood days. Perhaps a film grip supply might have such. I know of none by name other than JCX Expendables in SF Ca. Don't know if you'll find the range of focal lenghts you're looking for but...

Alternately, you could cut a frame from cardboard and by experiment determine where along your arm's length it is close to your desired focal length. Much cheaper.

I used the Easy Frame and Lens Selector http://www.summitek.com/easel.html when I was shooting large format and it worked great. You would have to adjust for the different aspect ratio and it would be a DIY project. When you shoot 4x5 it's a lot easier to use that than to set up a large format camera. With a DSLR I just get the camera and lens out and see what the camera can see, no big deal. Then again I've just given up shooting 4x5 which is slow as molasses so anything seems quicker.
If you got money to burn you could get one of these http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/31203-REG/Linhof_001378_45_Multifocus_Viewfinder_with.html
and this to get your aspect ratio

+1 to the cardboard frame.
You could also easy cobble one together from a cheap zoom lens from flea bay, some cardboard, and a bit of ground glass.
Some viewfinders are also available on fleabay. Search "director viewfinder" to get the sort of product you are looking for (several hundred dollars!) or "viewfinder" to see some cheaper options that involve etched frame lines.
