Zone VI meter stickers in England?

Hello all,

I've finally taken the plunge and bought a Pentax digital spotmeter

to hopefully get round my gripes with a starlite and was wondering

where to get hold of a Zone VI sticker for the barrel in the UK.

Calumet in the UK doesn't list them (they used to) but they and B&H

Photo do in the US.

I know I could make up a numbers label myself but wanted the version

with the tones already on so I can get a bit more experience placing

zones (my pc printer isn't up to the job of doing it).

Does anyone know of anywhere over here that might stock them? (Robert

White doesn't as I asked when I bought the meter). If it comes to it

I might just fire of an order to the US and see what happens.

Calumet sells them. Every time I go to the Calumet website it

asks whether I speak dollars or pounds, so I assume Calumet

is in the UK. I think they sell them exclusively.

You'll LOVE the Pentax spot, by the way. It is a simple, intuitve

workhouse.

Thanks David - looks like I'll have to give them a ring to see how up to date the website is. They list a sticker for the Soligor meter (ZN6530) which looks like it should fit the Pentax digital as it's straight (I thought the Soligor took one like the Pentax analogue meter?).

The part no. from the US Calumet is ZN6536 for the PDSM.

Unfortunately Calumet UK doesn't list the sticker and the US site says they are expecting stock sometime at the main warehouse. (Went through the order process to find s&h costs is 41 dollars for a 6 dollar order :-( - what's up with putting 2 stickers in an envelope and using a stamp?)

B&H haven't replied to an email I sent and I can't get onto the View Camera site (was Darkroom Innovations?) to see if they supply...

I'd heard mention that an Ansel Adams gallery sold them - does anybody have any details?

I can't seem to find anything about Zone VI Studios - was it swallowed / sold out totally by /to Calumet?

PS this looks like the start of a wild goose chase...

Calumet has them in stock, I just recieved two, the cost is $3.00 each

stock number is ZN6536, part number is D707.

these are U.S. numbers and prices

it took about 10 seconds to install, even less if you are adept than me.

Thanks for the reply Bill - I ordered a set from the US Calumet site and asked them to contact me regarding the shipping costs - I didn't want to pay $5 export charge and $40-odd Fedex charge for a $6 order.

I got an email saying that they would sent them in an envelope for $1 s&h charge. Thanks to Calumet for understanding the situation.

I've now got 2 stickers from the States probably for less than 1 plus s&h charges over here!

Now got to go out and practice with the readings... :-)
