benjamin_david2
Hello, I am hoping somebody can weigh in on the following issue:
I recently purchased a Zeiss Super Ikonta B, which appears to be in good working order. Yesterday I noticed that the focusing ring seems to be stuck - I can turn it freely (using the little wheel or else directly turning the ring) between 1.5 and 1.8m, but there is a hard stop at 1.8m and it cannot be focused to 2m and beyond. The focusing ring was definitely turning all the way to infinity when I bought the camera, but something happened in the intervening few days.
Any thoughts on how to fix the jam?
Thanks!
William Michael
Welcome to Photo.net
I can't assist directly with any experience of the problem, but do want to give you advice to please NOT double post the same question, it is against ToG and User Guidelines and there are good reasons - it is difficult and time wasting for those folk who might be able to assist you, to follow two conversations.
Thanks
WW
REF HERE: http://www.photo.net/medium-format-photography-forum/00dTrm
mwmcbroom
Hi Benjamin,

A bit of googling and this web page was revealed. It should answer most of your questions regarding refurbishing the rangefinder focusing system on a Super Ikonta:

http://www.davidrichert.com/zeiss_532_161.htm
