harvey_edelstein1
Tom A. on Rangefinderforum got one and took it on a trip and posted a review there and some pictures on flickr. Its really rectilinear. The 18mm also looks great. I am glad I have the CV 21mm for as often I shoot that wide its great at a third the price. Since I have something good I am not tempted to spend even more. But having said that If I had nothing and lots of money in the budget its a tough call as to which Zeiss lens the 18mm or 21 f4 to get. I find mostly my Zeiss 25mm f2.8 Biogon easier to compose with and wide enough for landscapes and buildings.
orvillerobertson
I don't have one, but that Zeiss 25/f 2.8 is one amazing lens as is the 21. Hell, all of the new Zeiss lenses are tremendous.
wolf_rainer_schmalfuss
Hello Laurent, the Zeiss ZM Biogon 4,5/21mm is a very compact superb lens, especially for traveling. If you take a look at the Zeiss data sheet for this lens, you will notice, that there is visual no distortion. The two other lenses you have mentioned, are also high-optical-tec. Cheers
marek_fogiel
Laurent, As much as I like to use the Zeiss lenses, I believe one should decide for himself on the basis of preference and type of shooting. I do have the C Biogon 21/4.5, and this lens has just one drawback: it is only an f4.5 lens. As far as the rest is concerned, I haven't seen anything similar since the SWC has been released - this lens has no faults - you can see a couple of my shots here: . As far as the comparison between the Biogon 35 and Planar 50 against the Summicrons, the topic is broad, and you will find a lot of stuff here: http://www.rangefinderforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=46107 http://www.rangefinderforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=47704 http://www.rangefinderforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=46964 also, read this for fun: http://www.rangefinderforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=49212 for comparison of shots taken with various M lenses, look here:
