katy_dean
Has anyone had any experience with this flash? It is way cheaper than the cannon. The online reviews I have seem appear promising, but I thought I would ask the professionals. Thanks for your time. Mommy photographer, just starting out. Cannon rebel xTi SLR, new EF50mm f/1.8 II lens for portraits. Thanks again!
brett_w.
I don't know about that particular flash but do a search on Yongnuo flashes. You can get a Canon ETTL flash with manual controls, built-in bounce card, diffuser, etc. for $65 ((YN 465). Other Yongnuo flashes with features like a zoom head, optical slave, different modes, etc. - $75 - $100

craig_shearman1
Are these European brands? Never heard of either here in the U.S. The two leading third-party flash brands here are Vivitar and Sunpak. Vivitar is best known for the classic 285HV that has been a hocky puck for over a generation now. They also have updated models that support TTL.
