rick_drawbridge
I recently bought a tidy T70 with a nice clean Canon SC 50mm f/1.8 lens, and tagging along with the deal was a "Formula 5 MC 28mm f/2.8 lens". I can't say it was a marque I'd ever heard of, and I really didn't expect anything very exciting. When it arrived, the lens appeared to be nicely made, smooth in it's action and very solid. I Googled frantically and could find very little information, but by a certain amount of detective work I think I've established the following: The Formula 5 lenses were re-branded Accura lenses, which in turn were a wholesale line distributed by Fred Spira's Spiratone company.. The Accura lenses were manufactured for Spiratone in Japan, probably by the Mitake optical works, though there is a path possibly leading back to the early Sigma Corporation. I have a couple of M42 Accura Diamatic lenses, notably a 35mm f/2.8 which is a very fine lens indeed, so I fitted this Formula 5 to the T70 and ran a roll of Fuji Superia 200. The results were actually very impressive, and the lens is definitely a keeper. Any more information would be welcome. I post a few pics from the lens.

Lou_Meluso
I took the FTbn out for a walk on Sunday with the nFD 80-200 f/4 L zoom. Used it like a Bug n Butterfly lens for close ups mostly. All on Fuji Superia 400 film.

maiku
I have been waiting to post since I took photos last week with my T70 and 50mm f1.8 S.C.. I have to say the 50mm f1.8 is probably my favorite lens of any I own. It is amazingly sharp, has great contrast and good bokeh. All fantastic for the 5$ I spent on it.

Stuart, unusual to say the least!
Rick, your photos are amazingly sharp. WOW!
Louis, gotta love the out of focus!

Mike

capitalq
Great shots, everyone. Some serious talent here. Inspires me to try new things...

Here are some portraits I took a while ago with my trusty AE-1 and the standard 50mm FD lens. As you can see, I was very much into high contrast printing -- grey tones were pretty much banished to oblivion.
