Edwin Barkdoll
Edwin, I never heard of this moth species. Your image displays it as fearsome.. Dryocampa rubicunda, the rosy maple moth, is definitely NOT fearsome! It's about 1 inch (2.5cm) long and in the family Saturniidae, which is, ironically for the rosy maple moth, also called the giant silk moths. Not uncommon in Maine, USA where I am located. sallymack
Since the lens I use most (one of two working lenses I have) is a micro 105, can my current photos be classified as "macro"? The diameter of the circle implied by the photo is 5-1/2 feet.
