XL1 EF adapter

Since I have a bag-full of Canon EF lenses (for my 20D and EOS-3), I would be

able to use them on my XL1 camcorder. Anyone have a line on a less-expensive

adapter system? Evidently, it is quite costly? And, anyone have any experience

with using something like this? There is a 7.2x conversion factor involved,

so...it would help on the telephoto end, but certainly not on the wide-angle

I just ordered a used Canon EF adapter from Adorama for $89. I won't believe it until it's burning my hands. I checked their stock number against the new item and the number matches. But the price is too good. There must be some kind of error. Check it out to see what you think.

IT WAS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE. I called Adorama to make sure the listing is not in error. It is. The item is an extender for the VL series. They're in the process of correcting the listing. Sales says the occasional used EF adapters typically sell for around $350. eBay occasionally has them for around $300.
