paulcooklin1
Hi - Ive bought an olympus XA and XA2...Ive tested the Xa and it seems to work as it should. However, with the XA2, regarldess of film asa, available light or which zone settings I use, the second click is about 1.5 seconds after the first. Am I right in thinking the second click is the lens closing. If this is the case, then there's no difference between each exposure from what I can hear and all exposures will be overexposed.

Or, is this how it's meant to be?

Many thanks.
luis_g
Unfortunately, no, that's not how it is supposed to be. I have owned two XA2s, and they have very low lag times, almost as fast as the XAs (I still own three of those). All superb cameras.

rick_dorn
I think your XA2 is broken. You can open the back and view through the lens while releasing the shutter to see what is going on. If you are getting long shutter openings in bright light, then the camera is not setting the shutter as it should.
