daniel_smith6
If the leader starts to light fires at night to photograph Delicate Arch... better leave quickly.
bill_jagde
I've been on several Arizona Hwys workshops and have had a wonderful experience every time. They've been well organized, to great locations and it's terrific to spend 3,5,7 days with a bunch of photographers & share experiences, and insights. The volunteer couple who I've been on trips with seem to think of everything and don't get flustered about things. They also have an outstanding lineup of nature photographers as leaders. You won't see David Muench defiling the landscape!!! moreover he evokes a reverence for the beauty of our country.

cece_fabbro
I think Bill Jadge says it best. At least that has been my experience. I've enjoyed--and learned a lot--on my one trip with AH, so have signed up for another in 2005 and one for 2006. All I can say is, "try it, you'll like it!" cece fabbro
cynthia_kershaw
I have attended three photo workshops sponsored by Friends of Arizona Highways. The instructors are highly qualified and truly know the best opportunties for for photographs. They are patient and they strive to help the participants ( from beginner to advanced) achieve great photographs. The accommodations are the best for the location. The escorts handle any problem that arises and are eager to see that the participants have an enjoyable workshop. Friendships are formed and it is amazing how well everyone assists each other. You won't be disappointed with the workshops. Cynthia Kershaw
kostak
I just ran into a group from Arizona Highways at a couple of locations (Paria Rimrocks, Lower Antelope Canyon) last week. Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves tremendously.
steve_combs
I have participated in photo workshops all over the world, sponsored by many different organizations, including multiple trips with Friends of Arizona Highways. "Friends" workshops are consistently among the best-organized, well-run trips that I have attended. Their photographers, tour leaders, locations, and accomodations are tops. They provide bus transportation to the sites and make sure that all details are covered so that the participants and the guest photographer do not have to worry about anything. The quality of instruction is high and participants always come away with great images from exciting locations. Highest recommendation.
