Windows wouldn't read from my Hitachi Microdrive

On my Olympus E500, I use a 4GB CF Microdrive that I'd formatted using Windows

initially. I put tonnes of pics on it.

Here's the problem though: the same pics that Windows was able to read from the

Microdrive earlier, it cannot read anymore, error: "unreadable or corrupt

card". The interesting thing is that the E500 *can* still play those same pics

using the playback mode. But Windows wouldn't recognize them for some reason.

Tried using the USB cable, tried a media card reader, tried the Olympus Master

software.

Any ideas how I can copy these pics to my PC?
