will the 580ex II fit?

The question is regarding this cheapo multiclamp:

The features say: <br>

"NOTE: The flash shoe included with this product is only intended for use with

flashes that have a knurled locking ring. For flashes that use a lever or other

method of locking"<br>

Does this mean the new locking mechanism with the 580EX II will not fit? The

other side question is that is this thing a piece of junk? It's cheap, but will

it do the job of holding an umbrella and a flash?

The kit also has a stud - screw this into the bottom of the stand that comes with the 580EX II and you will be fine. I use this unit (or one very like it) to hold my 580EX plus a large umbrella etc with no problems.<div></div>
