Why am I getting the EEE message after loading film?

Hey FD users, my T90 which was overhauled a few years ago works perfectly without film. The EEE message occurs after I load film and expose a few frames. What's going on? I can clear the message after turning the camera on and off a few times and the message does not reappear. It only happens with film in the camera.

Pressing the battery check button may be an easier way of getting rid of the EEE message.

Perhaps the problem happens with film, because the extra strain of advancing the film depresses the battery voltage slightly. New batteries may help.

I always store my T90 with the shutter open, that is, open it on slow long shutter speed or "B", and remove the batteries before it recloses. I read somewhere that this helps to prevent the magnets sticking.
