dean doe
I am planning to buy a multi-focal lens for my MP. Konica 21-35mm or Leica 28-35-50mm? Please help, By the way, I already have the 35mm Sumilux Asph. 1.4 type 1, not wanting to travel with it too much. Thanks.
jay_.
This is a no-brainer. Get the Tri-Elmar. In the Konica lens too many compromises in optical design had to be made to get a 21 and a 35 in the same package (not that they didn't do a good job, but the laws of physics are what they are)considering how specialized the applications for a 21 are. With the Tri-Elmar you've got a trio of focal lenths that can handle about 90% of photographic subjects. Personally I'd sell that 35-Lux ASPHERICAL to a Leica collector while they're still are any, buy an ASPH, and with the money left over get a C/V 21/4 and a used 135/4 T-E or a C/V 90/3.5.
