a._f.
Hi, I just moved to Paris last year and I've been trying to find a replacement for my old (and sadly, BROKEN) SX-70 here but I don't know where to go. I found my sx-70 in a thrift store back in the US for $5 but I see that they're selling on ebay into the three digits (craziness!). Does anyone know where to find old, used poloraid (or even holgas, lomos, etc) cameras here within a reasonable price range here in Paris? Should I scour the flea markets or are there certain shops for this type of thing? Thanks!

david_m
If you don't speak French you will have great difficulty in France. However, there must be old cameras for sale in such a major city, you just need to find out where. You will most likely find them in the poorer sections of town. You need to find out where they are. Try finding some french language websites by vintage camera enthusiasts. The you can use the free online translators to translate the text and maybe email the webmaster. vincentim
Hi, the best location or all photo stores in Paris is the Boulevard Richard Lenoir between Bastille and Republique. There are dozens of them there and I'm sure you'll find what you need. Otherwise try Photo Muller located Rue des plantes, he has plenty of old vintage cameras and parts. Hope this helps.
