Where to buy new ground glass for 8x10 Cambo

I've had a bad week.
First, I have five brutally underexposed

negs that shouldn't have been underexposed because I didn't shoot them

at significantly different settings than a couple that turned

out...then I had the distinct pleasure of watching the back fall off

my camera from across the room because stupid me didn't ensure the

lock was tight when I switched from portrait to landscape configs.
Needless to say, I need new ground glass. I've read here that

MPEX is great. Should I just call them and find out if they have one.

Any other suggestions?
Thanks for your help.

Depends on your wallet and how important the ground glass is to you. I've used most of them at one time or another. Maxwell is the best IMHO (and that of many others) but I don't think he makes them in 8x10. The next best IMHO is the BosScreen. I used an 8x10 BosScreen on my Deardorff (as well as several 4x5s) and it was great. I was lucky to get it on close-out at Badger for only about $100, I imagine the usual cost is a good bit more since the 4x5 size runs about $150 but it's an excellent screen. If you're intersted call or email Ted Bromwell at Bromwell Marketing if you're in the U.S.

There's such a big gap between Maxwell and BosScreen on the one hand, and everything else I've used (Beattie, Linhof, Stephen Shuart, bought a Satin Snow but couldn't use it because it wasn't properly cut for my camera)on the other, that there's not much reason to worry about hat else you might buy. You can pick up an acceptable plain ground glass on ebay or MidWest or anywhere else and they'll all work about the same.
