(I tried to "google" abit, but I can't read German...) Thanks, Pierre.
patrick_heller
What kind of objective = lens are you looking for? I know of a large store in Aachen (90 km from Bonn).
pierre_dhonte
Thanks Patrick, I'm looking for a canon 50mm (1.8 or 1.4), but I'm going to a conference and I don't think I have time to go Aachen.
oliver_s.
Contact New York Camera and AC-Foto. These are German mail order photo stores. Problem is, most German stores don't deliver to hotel addresses. In that case, you might try Isarfoto, though chances are very small they differ.
If you have to buy locally, try stores from this list. (It includes labs, Fotolabor; you want Fotohandel, photo stores.) Please do call in advance and have your lens reserved! (Btw most Germans understand English.)
Mail order prices for the EF 50mm/f:1.8 are 111 to 129; the f:1.4 USM goes for 434 to 499. Consider any price above 120 and 470, respectively, a ripoff.
sabrina_mueller
Pierre, you can try "Foto Brell", they should have a 50/1,8 in stock. You can find them at the Markt (market place), when you face the old city hall (Altes Rathaus), the shop is on the right side of the place. Much fun in my hometown!
